VOTE. Today is Election Day!
[[link removed]]
Hi John,
Election Day is finally here! We understand here at WCV how taxing the constant noise and 24-hour news cycle can disrupt well-being. So, rather than sum up the whirlwind political year, I have a simple message for you – believe.
Believe in the transformative power of your voice. Especially when united with your fellow conservation voters, all of us committed to a brighter, healthier, cleaner, more fair future for all.
Need proof? Wisconsin suffered for more than a decade under illegal maps meant to cheat voters of their true voices and install a radical wing of extremists into near-permanent positions of power. You cast off those bonds – with your vote, your petition signatures, your phone calls and door knocks, and your generous gifts. We have new fair maps. You have earned this day.
It’s time to make sure we take advantage of this moment and elect pro-conservation champions up and down the ballot. I say that phrase a lot: pro-conservation champion. What do I mean when I say it? A pro-conservation champion is an elected leader who will stand up for the things we care about most: clean water, clean energy, combating climate change, protecting and increasing our public lands, safeguarding our right to vote, and removing boundaries that make it difficult for all of us to be heard and counted.
Today, if you have yet to cast your vote, this is your moment. Claim that reward you worked so hard for by making your voice heard loud and clear at the ballot box. Join voices with your 40,000-plus fellow conservation voters to shape the future of Wisconsin.
Vote if you haven’t already. Let’s win this thing for us and future generations of Wisconsinites. Believe!
P.S., We'll be watching a lot of close races on election night, and we may not have clear results by Wednesday morning. I'll follow up with you later this week with my initial takes on the results!
Today is the day!
