There's so much uncertainty about the outcome of today's election.

It's an anxious time, with so much riding on the results.

But I want to tell you what we know without question.

At the root of our commitment to saving the natural world is a love for the wild and biodiversity — and to justice for all life on Earth.

For 35 years the Center for Biological Diversity has been fighting to secure a rich and living future for wildlife, especially for species facing extinction.

That fight will continue tomorrow, and in the days, weeks, months and years ahead.

Our commitment to the wild won't waver. We'll give all we have to ensure that wolf howls still can be heard, whales swim free from entanglements, polar bears and Arctic seals have ice, and wild places like the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge aren't destroyed by industry.

We're fighting for a climate that's livable for all, energy and food systems that are just and sustainable, and a world where we're safe from pesticides and other poisons.

None of that will change.

The Center is built to thrive in dynamic times, and I'm incredibly proud of our expert attorneys, scientists, campaigners and other staff who bring such vigilance, tenacity and creativity to this work.

It's why, despite the swings of politics, we've still secured protection for more than 760 species and more than a half-billion acres of wildlife habitat.

We're uncompromising in our defense of the wild.

We find ways to win because we must.

There's too much at stake to do anything else.
