Election Day has finally arrived. I urge Maryland voters who have not yet cast their ballots to do so today.

The polls open at 7:00 AM this morning. So long as you are in line at your polling location by 8:00 PM, you will be able to cast your vote. If you have not yet registered to vote, Maryland offers same-day voter registration at your polling location on Election Day. Please be sure to bring proof of your current address if registering.

Voting is the most powerful tool we have to make our voices heard in our democracy. From Civil Rights icons like my dear friend and brother John Lewis to the fearless suffragists who secured the Nineteenth Amendment, generations of Americans made tremendous sacrifices to ensure that each of us can exercise our right to vote. I encourage you to do so today. Your vote helps determine the future of our country, our state, and our communities.
