Did you know today is National Doughnut Day, friend? And while I wish my email only consisted of positive news this Election Day, I do have bad news to share: As of this morning, we fell just 9% short of our $4 million goal.

In a race that will decide Senate control, my team and I need all the funds we can get to pull ahead in this final moment. But before I ask you chip in $10 — the cost of a dozen doughnuts — to my campaign, I wanted to share the following:
|
By now, you may know that I got my start in the doughnut business. My family moved to the U.S. from Ecuador with big dreams for a better life when I was 14 — and that better life didn't come easy. At 15, I began taking early morning shifts at a doughnut shop before school. And while it wasn't much, the extra cash helped give my family and me the life we always dreamt of.
But do you know who else got their start in the doughnut business? My Trump-backed opponent, Rick Scott. However, while I made minimum wage to help keep the lights on at home, he owned two shops and reaped the benefits of his employees' hard work.

Friend, like you, I believe we should have a leader who knows the meaning of hard work, not someone who uses others to work hard for him. And that's why I'm in this race — to give Florida the leadership it deserves.
But we still have work to do if we want to get out the vote in Florida and retire Rick Scott for good. So with just 13 hours until the polls close, I'm counting on you to help me close the gap on my critical Election Day goal and flip Florida blue. In honor of National Doughnut Day and Election Day both falling on the same day, I'm personally asking:
|
Will you rush $10 — the cost of a dozen donuts — right now to help my team and me GOTV on this LAST day and defeat Rick Scott?
