Election Day is here! Today marks a pivotal moment in our
nation's history, and it's your final chance to stand up for
democracy, make your voice heard, and vote! Polls are open
from 6am-8pm. To find your polling location and voter details, please
go here.
This is a historic moment in which you can play a role in
electing the first Black and South Asian woman to be president of the
United States. That candidate is Vice President Kamala Harris. Harris
advocates for racial and gender equity, including healthcare access
and criminal justice reform, inspiring young voters to see themselves
in leadership roles.
She has championed the College for All Act for
tuition-free college for working families, the George Floyd Justice in
Policing Act for police reform, the John Lewis Voting Rights Act to
safeguard voting access, pushing for early voting and mail-in options
to protect youth participation, and as a climate advocate,
co-sponsored the Climate Equity Act. This is the kind of leader we
need. Her leadership brings youth-driven priorities to the White
House, showing young people that their voices are valued. Now
is the time to elect Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim
Walz as president and vice president of the United
States.
In addition, we have crucial races here
in the Garden State, so remember to vote up and down the ballot. We
must take our role seriously in ensuring that we have the right
representation leading on the local, state, and federal levels. Your
role in these elections is critical. Let’s
get out the vote and make every vote count.
Yours in action,
 Fatima
Heyward President, New Jersey Young
Democrats
