From canceled concerts to closed restaurants to even the delay of the 2020 Summer Olympics, COVID-19 has brought our world to a standstill.

But there’s one thing even a pandemic can’t interfere with: the general election on November 3. 

Amidst all of this chaos, it’s possible that voting might look different in November. But whether it’s universal vote-by-mail or polling places with extra precautions, we will have the opportunity to cast a referendum on this administration by kicking Donald Trump and his Republican lackeys out of positions of power that they clearly don’t deserve to occupy.

Although we will feel the repercussions of this administration’s poor response to COVID-19 for years to come, replacing Trump and his Republican counterparts goes far beyond this crisis. 

This is our opportunity to stand up for climate justice. Demand reproductive freedom for all. Fight for a nation that puts its citizens’ safety above the agenda of the gun lobby. Elect a president who leads with empathy and truth, not bigotry and misinformation.

Pledging to vote increases actual turnout, and we need everyone who can to take this first step towards voting so we can actually accomplish all of the above in November and beyond.
