John, you can have the best-written Constitution in the world, and I believe we do.

The strongest system of checks and balances, and maybe we do.

But none of it will be enough if elected officials don’t give meaning to their oath of office. If that oath isn’t informed by ideas of right and wrong, and if people are unwilling to accept the truth, or even that there is something called fact.

The tragic story of the last ten years is the story of GOP capitulation to the immortality of the former president. The historian Robert Caro once said that power doesn’t corrupt as much as it reveals, and it has revealed a lot about JD Vance, Mitch McConnell, John Roberts, and so many more. People willing to sacrifice everything they once believed in to be closer to the seat of power.

But I think this election will reveal something else about America. It will reveal once again that the American people value the truth and value decency, and they want someone with integrity in the White House. Someone like Kamala Harris.

We are a deeply resilient country, with millions of beautiful, patriotic people in every state, and they will see us through this difficult time. November 5th will mark the end of a very difficult chapter and the beginning of a bright new future, if we all do our part and vote.

This is the last time I’ll ask before the polls close, John. I am humbly asking you to contribute any amount that feels right to help us earn as many Democratic votes as possible in these final hours.
