Hi John —

I can't apologize enough.

If you tried to take the survey I sent you earlier today, you likely already know that an error with the first question was preventing folks from answering properly.

I would hate for my error to keep you from letting us know what you need from us during this difficult time.

We've fixed the mistake, and I hope you'll take 2 minutes to answer our 3 question survey now that everything is in order.

Thank you so much for your input — and your patience as we worked to fix this!

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Heather

Everything changed for our country when America declared a national emergency in the face of the COVID-19 crisis.

We weren’t sure what was coming next — so we turned to you for help. We asked you what you wanted to hear from us in the days ahead, and your responses shaped everything we sent you from that day until now.

But in the two months that have passed, this has gone from a distant threat to a very real, anxiety-inducing crisis that has touched us all.

And I’m guessing what you need from us has changed, too. Take our survey, and tell us how.

For me, it hit worst when my mother — who lives with Alzheimer’s in a care facility in New Jersey — tested positive. Luckily, she currently remains asymptomatic. But two months ago, I never could have imagined the sheer gratitude I would feel towards the absolute heroes who put their health on the line every day to make sure she’s safe and as undisturbed as possible by all of this.

And while we struggled to adjust to this new world, we watched the government that is meant to protect us during times of crisis take aim at the very public health protections meant to keep us safe — from the science that experts use to protect our health to the pollution limits that make our air safe to breathe. It’s almost too much to take in.

I know: What mattered to you in March might not matter as much in May. And we don’t want to be part of the noise — we want to be part of what helps you get through this.

So take our quick, 3-question survey to let us know what you need — and we’ll use it to shape what comes next.

Thank you for all you do,
