Hi,
This weekend, I had a blast getting out the vote for Democrats up and down the ballot in critical federal, state, and local races before the 2024 election comes to a close tomorrow night.
In the Central Valley, we saw great energy and turnout for my friend, former colleague in the state legislature, and next Congressmember from the 22nd District, Rudy Salas!
I was proud to join California’s own U.S. Senator Alex Padilla, Congressman and soon-to-be Senator Adam Schiff, U.S. Representatives Pete Aguilar, Mark Takano, and Linda Sanchez, California Democratic Party Chair Rusty Hicks, activist Carlos Espina, and hundreds of volunteers committed to creating a stronger democracy.
In Orange County, I joined another all-star cast of congressional, legislative, and Democratic Party leaders to help rally an army of volunteers committed to ensuring we elect representatives who lead with their values and fight to improve the lives of their constituents, like Dave Min in California’s 47th Congressional District and State Senator Josh Newman in Senate District 29.
I also joined our great Governor Gavin Newsom and top state leaders in Orange County to support Derek Tran for Congress in the 45th District. Derek embodies the American Dream: he’s a man of duty and service who will make your fights his fights, and his victory will likely flip the House from red to blue!
Last but not least, I dropped in to say thank you to all of the Jessica Caloza volunteers and team members working overtime to get Jessica across the finish line! Jessica has the values, experience, relationships, and skills to deliver for Assembly District 52 on Day 1.
As I always say, democracy is not a spectator sport. At this moment, each and every one of us is called to stand up to the forces of hate and fight to defend our freedoms. Will you join me?
