We’ll get right to it - the day we’ve anticipated for so long is almost here. If you haven’t already voted, it’s not too late to join the nearly 80 million Americans who have already done their civic duty.
With so much at stake, it’s absolutely critical that you and your community don’t sit this one out and vote for everything on your ballot, top down. So make a plan to vote, and forward this email to three people in your life who have likely not voted yet.
If you or someone you know needs a ride, our friends at the Voter Transportation Project are providing free round trip rides to the polls in battleground states. All you have to do is text your city name to 866-759-VOTE (8683) to claim your ride now, or learn more here.
Remember that once you’re in line at your polling place, it is your right to vote. You can stay in line until you’ve cast your ballot, even after the polling center technically closes, so long as you were in line before it closed.
And we have to, unfortunately, talk about voter intimidation. We are hearing reports of people being harassed at their polling places. These events are rare and shouldn’t discourage you from exercising your right to vote.
If you experience or witness any intimidation at the polls – including tampering with ballot dropboxes – you can call your state’s voter protection hotlines. We’ve included a list of voter protection hotlines below.
Once you’ve voted, your work isn’t over - yet. Give yourself a big pat on the back, wear your ‘I Voted’ sticker with pride, and forward this email to three people in your life who live in a battleground (AZ NV MI WI NC GA PA) who may not have voted yet.
Then, help us finish the job by signing up to call other voters. You can find high-impact Election Day actions at votesaveamerica.com/2024.
