St. Louis County Propositions

PROPOSITION A - SUPPORT
Changes the charter to match an ordinance regarding how members of the Port Authority are appointed. Currently, the Charter says the County Executive is the appointing authority, and the ordinance says each member of the Council appoints the member for their district.

PROPOSITION C - SUPPORT
Allows for more separation of powers in the County Government. Today the Council relies on the Executive-appointed County Counselor for legal support. Prop C allows the Council to hire their own attorney.

PROPOSITION O - SUPPORT
Clarifies when elected officials take office. You may recall when Webb was elected, her predecessor decided not to leave the office until Webb was sworn in. That resulted in Lisa Clancy temporarily becoming the Council Chair. This proposition clarifies when terms end and begin.
