When we launched Win the Era PAC, we did so with an understanding that moving America forward requires even more from us than the urgent mission of replacing the current president and doing away with the chaos and cruelty that have characterized the Trump era.

The presidency is extremely important, but we must never act like it's the only office that matters. We also have to ensure we elect strong leaders at every level of government. In the past several months especially, we’ve seen just how vitally important Congressional, local, and state leadership can be.

Today I’m excited to introduce you to our first slate of endorsements -- leaders who embody the values and spirit of the campaign we ran together:

These twenty-two candidates are running for office at all levels of government and are lifting up the issues facing emerging and future generations. They are committed to building a sense of belonging in our country, they are running pioneering campaigns, and they are proposing and supporting meaningful, bold policies.

Some of them may be familiar names to you, running in closely-watched races. Others are in less-noticed and far-from-glamorous races and offices. But all are making a big difference. These are just a few of the remarkable leaders we have a chance to elect or reelect in November, and they represent a better way forward.

Our nation and the world are in a period of upheaval right now, which will make it more important than ever to support and elect good leaders this November and into the future.

Recovering from this pandemic will require decisions that will shape America for the rest of our lives. We won’t simply be reinstating all of the political and economic arrangements we knew before, with the same winners and losers, and the same weaknesses. We can’t, and we shouldn’t try.

More than at any moment since the New Deal, this is a moment of opportunity and obligation to create a new and better set of circumstances -- social and economic and political -- that will last for the era to come.

I believe electing these candidates -- and others like them -- is a crucial step in the right direction. I am excited about the leadership they offer, and I think that you will be too.
