Hi friends – before the big day that we’ve all been waiting for arrives, I want to take a minute to share with you some of what I’ve heard out on the campaign trail over the past year.
I’ve spent hours upon hours around San Diego and around the country talking to volunteers and voters about this election, and even though I’ve talked to so many different people, what I’ve heard has been very similar:
I’m so excited to elect Kamala Harris.
I’m so anxious about our future.
I want to protect democracy.
I’m doing this for my daughter.
I’m doing this for my mom.
From town to town and state to state, it is clear that people are inspired and excited, and at the same time, feel deeply concerned about the future.
I feel all these same feelings, and I feel honored that people share them with me. And as we head into the most important Election Day of our lifetimes, I have one request for you: channel those feelings into one last bit of action before polls close tomorrow.
Call a friend. Text a neighbor. Message a high school friend on social media. Join a virtual phone bank. Whatever it is, do something that helps get us across the finish line.
You’ll never regret taking one more action in this critical moment, but you may always regret not doing it.
Thank you for reading and for everything you do. I’m so grateful to be doing this important work together.
