John,

A decent number of you who are reading this right now are going to run for office one day, so I want to give you a sense of what the last few days of your campaign will look like - because it’s wild.

In the last week, the whole idea is to reach as many voters as you can.

So you’re going to every event.

Whether it’s a college campus:

Jeff speaking with students

Or a door-knocking kickoff:

Jeff at a canvassing event

Or supporting other candidates:

Jeff and Allison RiggsAllison Riggs for NC Supreme Court

Or speaking at a presidential rally:

Jeff speaking at a Kamala Harris rally

You need to be everywhere you can possibly be.

And that means you’re shaking a lot of hands:

Jeff shaking a supporter's hand

And doing A LOT of selfies:

Meanwhile, you’re also blanketing the airwaves. Thanks to your support, we’re now broadcasting our Closing Statement ad in all six major media markets in North Carolina.

The Closing Statement ad

But there’s one thing you do in the homestretch that doesn’t have anything to do with trying to win the election.

If you’ve got kids, you try to find ways to involve them, because it’s a remarkable experience and you want to make it part of their memories.

But you also want to show them that guiding the future of our state and our country is something that they can be a part of, just like you can be a part of it - and I hope you will.

The last dollar

Remarkably, our TV budget is now fully funded.

I mean, holy smokes.

When I think about how big our goal was - and how unrealistic it seemed just a few months ago - I still can’t believe it.

But I told you exactly what we needed to do to win, gave you specific details about where the funds would go, and you responded with enough force to make it happen.

That now lets us do something extra - a bonus, last-minute effort.

We want to do an Election Day push to reach an extra 500,000 voters - with calls, texts, and online. These are folks who might not be watching TV, or maybe they are and we just want them to see our message one more time.

It will cost $16,000. So, if we can raise that, then we get one more touch with a big group of voters.

This will be my very last request of you for the whole campaign. You’ve already done a lot, and I’m grateful, but if you’d like to help us send that last, final message, you can do that here (ActBlue) or here (non-ActBlue).

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

Owen’s prediction

I know everyone is nervous about these races - mine included.

In our family, I’ve been telling our kids all year that we have a 50/50 chance of winning.

Last night, I was putting Owen, our nine-year-old, to bed, and he asked, “Is it still 50/50 for us?”

I said, “Yeah, I think so.”

Then he said, “Dad, I think it’s 51/49. I think we’re going to win.”

And you know what? I think he’s right.

I’ll see you on the other side of the election. It’s been such an honor to be on this journey with you. Thanks for getting me all the way here. I can’t tell you how much it means - to me, our family, and our state.

We’re feeling good, and I’ll see you soon.

All the best,

Jeff Jackson
