The surveillance boosters are at it again! The Senate is voting this week on legislation to reauthorize the Patriot Act without the significant reforms needed to protect your rights.

Fighting surveillance abuses has been a key priority for Justin throughout his time in Congress. As the government has sought greater warrantless access to Americans' private data, Justin has been a leader in pushing back and fighting to protect our Fourth Amendment-secured rights.

Many members of Congress tout their support for civil liberties or complain about the government's privacy violations—and then quietly vote for more surveillance.

In contrast, Justin blasts the government's abuses and then backs up his words with actions.

In Congress, Justin has consistently voted against expanding surveillance authorities, and he's offered countless bills and amendments to add protections for Americans' rights.

As president, Justin will veto bills that authorize activities that would violate the Fourth Amendment, and he'll require the FBI and NSA to stop their current abuses.

Under our system of government, the president must act in accordance with the laws—including and especially the Constitution itself. If Congress passes unconstitutional laws, the president can and should refuse to use those authorities.
