I know so many of us are being impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak -- but if anything, this response shows how important it is to elect officials who will work hard for us and share the truth. But if you'd prefer to take a break from updates about Senate races in these uncertain times, let us know and we'll unsubscribe you for a few weeks -- because sometimes, we all need a quick break.

Friend,

Nearly one and a half million people are sick.

More than 80,000 are dead.

And we're facing the highest unemployment rate since the Great Depression.

But Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said the GOP has not "yet felt the urgency of acting immediately."

He followed up with, "That time could develop, but I don't think it has yet."

I don't need to tell you: The time is here. In fact, we're past it. The American people are dying, out of work, and terrified -- and Republicans feel no "urgency" to work on relief legislation. To Mitch McConnell, the urgency exists instead to pack the bench with conservative judges and to confirm President Trump's nominees.

I'm angry. I know you are, too. We can't let them get away with this: Add your name to tell Mitch McConnell to put people over politics and get to work on relief for the American people right now.

Chuck Schumer
