Dear John,
Today, I am delighted to share a new addition to TAC’s staff, Dr. Xavier Amador, acclaimed author of “I Am Not Sick, I Don’t Need Help,” and a leading expert on anosognosia and compassionate treatment options for those with severe mental illness (SMI).
We are honored to have Dr. Amador join TAC’s team as our Scientific Officer. His expertise and passion will be instrumental in creating and distributing valuable content for our community, including what research reveals about the causes of SMI as well as breakthroughs in treatment.

Dr. Amador will host a new podcast, SMI Spotlight, with guests including researchers,
doctors, filmmakers, thought leaders, and experts on mental illness and treatment. Our goal is to provide the resources and tools that our community craves and needs to more effectively help everyone impacted by SMI.
Today, we are especially pleased to launch Research Briefly, a periodic blog focusing on timely research and pertinent information surrounding SMI. You can read the premiere blog, “What in the World is Anosognosia?” on our website by clicking here.
TAC is proud to be the national leader on issues related to SMI, and committed to bringing you quality content and the most up-to-date information. From myself and the entire staff at TAC, we thank you for your continued support of our important work.
Sincerely,

Lisa Dailey
Executive Director
