I wanted to share a quick update with you on Democrats’ efforts to take back the Senate.

To recap: We need to net just four seats to retake the majority. But Democratic Senators are playing defense in Michigan, New Hampshire, Minnesota, and deep-red Alabama.

So if we want to flip the Senate, we’re going to have to compete in red and purple states with vulnerable Republican incumbents. That starts with Montana, where Governor Steve Bullock is mounting a serious challenge to Senator Steve Daines—a Trump ally who founded the Senate’s “pro-life” caucus, which is dedicated to advancing legislation that strips away reproductive freedoms.

A new poll shows that Governor Bullock is TIED with his opponent. But Mitch McConnell saw that same poll, and the Super PAC associated with Senate Republicans just bought $2.8 million worth of ads in Montana. Governor Bullock isn’t taking a dime of corporate PAC money, and is counting on grassroots supporters to power his campaign. Could you chip in a donation to elect Governor Bullock and take back the Senate?

A bit more about Governor Bullock and why you should invest in this race:

Governor Bullock is one of the most effective governors in the country. In deep-red Montana, he was able to pass the Medicaid expansion early in his tenure, and then get it reauthorized with a Republican legislature last year. He knows how to work across the aisle to get progressive values incorporated into law.

Governor Bullock has long led on campaign finance reform. As Montana’s Attorney General, he brought the first legal challenge to the landmark Citizens United case all the way to the Supreme Court.

Governor Bullock knows how to win. He’s won three statewide elections, including in 2016, when Trump carried the state by more than 20 points.
