Got voting questions? We've got the answers.

It's almost Election Day, ACLU Supporter!

We're making sure you have everything you need to cast your ballot in this year's election:

* Voting in person? Make sure you know where your polling location is – check your state board of elections' website before you go to vote for where you're voting and what you may need to bring to the polls, as it may have changed. If you planned to vote by mail but never received your ballot, let the folks working the polls know, and they'll set you up to vote provisionally. Learn more. <[link removed]>

* Haven't returned your mail ballot yet? No worries! Bring your ballot to your county election office and drop it off in person – or, head down to your polling place, surrender the ballot, and vote there instead.

* Stay in line! We know, we know – it's almost cliché at this point to say if you're in line when polls close, stay in line. But it's true! So long as you are in line before your polling location closes, you're entitled to vote. Make sure your ballot is counted by sticking it out in line – and it's a great time to catch up on content like the ACLU's At Liberty podcast <[link removed]> while you wait.

* Need help? If you run into any issues on Election Day, call our hotline at 1-866-OUR-VOTE or 1-888-VE-Y-VOTA for Spanish language assistance. Lawyers will be staffing the phones all day, ready to help you participate in our democracy.

Finally, remember: We may not have results immediately – and results taking time just means that our election officials are doing their job and making sure all of our votes are counted. And no matter what the outcome is, we're here to make sure your civil rights and liberties are safe.

Happy voting!
