Elections are tomorrow, and your voice and vote are vital in shaping our nation’s future. This moment has been a challenge for our community, and we feel your pain. This is also a defining election for our country. After months of heartfelt discussions, our team endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz because we believe in our responsibility to prevent a second Trump administration and the urgency of advocating for policies that uplift our communities and strengthen our pluralistic democracy. This endorsement is not an acquiescence to the status quo, it is a call to action.

Under Trump, we faced relentless attacks on our civil rights, including harmful policies that fueled anti-Muslim bigotry nationwide. He has openly threatened to deport pro-Palestinian activists, vowed to reinstate and expand the Muslim Ban, and pledged support to far-right, pro-settler donors advocating for annexation of the West Bank. His Republican advisors have even labeled Islam a "cancer on humanity."
Moreover, the Republican Party is determined to undermine organizations fighting for our rights through policies aimed at revoking nonprofit status on unfounded accusations of terrorism support, all without due process.
There is no path to peace, justice, or safety for Muslims under another Trump administration. Our votes are crucial, especially in down-ballot races, now more than ever. Every single vote matters in shaping our future and protecting our rights.
While some third-party candidates may align with us on some issues, none have a viable path to victory. In 2016, Trump won Michigan by just 11,000 votes, influenced by third-party voting. We cannot let this happen again. In battleground states, every vote counts, and our collective power is crucial in preventing Trump from enacting his dangerous agenda.
By mobilizing together, Muslim American voters can impact the outcome of this election. Voting gives us a pathway to move from anger and pain to action and change, an opportunity to advocate for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, and a platform to advance Palestinian freedom, security, and dignity. Electing Harris is not the end of our fight, it’s the beginning of a powerful movement that will allow us to push for lasting change.
