Good morning! I wanted to send you a quick message while I have my morning coffee.

To be honest, asking for donations is my least favorite part of the job. But the truth is it’s absolutely necessary if we’re going to keep Wisconsin blue and defend this seat.

Republicans have spent $100 million on ads attacking me and uplifting my opponent. The bad news is, their strategy seems to be working — with multiple polls showing my opponent taking a one-point lead.

Losing this seat would cost Democrats control of the Senate.

If Eric Hovde secured the majority for Mitch McConnell and the extreme GOP, everything from the Affordable Care Act and abortion rights to Social Security and Medicare would be on the chopping block.

We can’t let that happen, but we’re running out of time to stop them.

We have to leave it all on the field — get our message in front of the final undecided Wisconinites, turn out voters across the state, and win this toss-up race.
