As we quickly approach the 2024 presidential election, it is more important than ever that we elect a president who has the knowledge, vision, and competence to guide America through chaotic, unprecedented times and get our country back on track. Unfortunately, Vice President Kamala Harris has shown time and again that she lacks the necessary qualities to lead our country effectively. Her time in office has been full of indecision, political opportunism, and a failure to address the real concerns of everyday Americans.

One of the clearest concerns with Kamala Harris is her inability to define and stick to her policy positions. She has repeatedly flip-flopped on key issues, such as immigration and criminal justice and law enforcement reform, leaving voters confused about where she truly stands. This inconsistency shows she lacks the necessary decisiveness needed to handle complex issues like border security and immigration reform.

To that end, as Border Czar, Harris has completely failed to deliver meaningful – or any — solutions. She has been completely absent. Instead of visiting the border to see the crisis firsthand and engage with the communities and law enforcement most affected, Harris has distanced herself from the crisis. Her dereliction of duty has only exacerbated the chaos at our border, where illegal crossings have surged, drug and human trafficking continue to rise, and our law enforcement officers are stretched thin. Kamala Harris’ refusal to confront this crisis head-on sends the message that she is unwilling or unable to tackle one of the most pressing issues facing our nation today.

Further, the tragic Afghanistan withdrawal in 2021 was a direct result of failed leadership and a major projection of weakness on the world stage. The mismanagement of the exit strategy raised serious concerns about the competence of the Biden-Harris Administration. We lost 13 American heroes, the Taliban took control, and women and Christians continue to face brutal persecutions. Handling such a critical and high-pressure event requires stability and careful planning, qualities that Kamala Harris clearly fails to bring to the table.

Kamala Harris has been part of an Administration that has overseen record high inflation, rising energy costs, and a disastrous economy. The lack of leadership on these issues only underscores that she is out of touch with hardworking Americans. Our country cannot afford to have leaders who fail to prioritize the kitchen table issues families are facing. More, hard-working Americans can’t afford the American Dream in the Harris economy.

As alarming as her record as Vice President is, it nearly pales in comparison to her time in the Senate. During her tenure from 2017-2021 in the Senate, she had a more liberal voting record than socialist Bernie Sanders. Some of her most radical efforts include support for legislation to prevent states from barring males from female locker rooms and athletic teams; leading a bill which would have forced Catholic hospitals and other faith-based health institutions to perform abortions and gender transition surgeries; and she strongly supported the $10 trillion Green New Deal. Unsurprisingly, these themes are reflected throughout her time as California attorney general as well.

In less than thirty days, Americans will have the chance to course correct the direction of our country. Kamala Harris is simply not the right choice.
