John,

The news from this week has been heartbreaking. Aimee Stephens, the first transgender woman to have a civil rights complaint heard by the Supreme Court, passed away on Tuesday.

Aimee took action after her employer fired her for being transgender. Soon, the Supreme Court will decide if Aimee’s former employer violated her civil rights, and Aimee’s case could set the standard for workplace protections.

Aimee’s fight for basic fairness under the law is a milestone for the entire transgender community. When the Supreme Court releases its decision on this case I hope that you will join us for a virtual rally and townhall.

If you haven’t already, click here to sign up for the virtual rally and town hall. We will notify you as soon as we have a decision from the Supreme Court about Aimee’s case and the other two cases related to discrimination against LGBTQ workers.

These events are an opportunity to come together as a community when the Court hands down their decision on three consequential cases that will impact the lives of LGBTQ people across our country.

The #DecisionDay rally will be a chance for us to gather together to react and support each other, while the town hall will feature experts providing analysis of the opinion, how it will affect our lives, and what still needs to be done.

Do you want to be a part of this momentous day? RSVP today.

Sincerely,
