Dear John,

Today we are launching a new open letter calling on Westmorland and Furness Council to take immediate action and revoke the licence of Cumbria Safari Zoo (AKA South Lakes Zoo).

The letter has been signed by 33 animal protection organisations, veterinarians, scholars and public figures, all of whom have grave concerns regarding the mounting animal welfare and public safety issues that continues to come to light at this zoo.

The letter outlines a number of serious concerns, from overcrowding and inadequate nutrition to dangerous enclosures and the neglect of the animals.

Enough is enough, and this zoo must be closed down!

Our Christmas cards ([link removed]) have been designed exclusively for Freedom for Animals by the incredibly talented artist Philip McCulloch-Downs ([link removed]) .

There's 2 of each design per pack: owl, reindeer and penguin and they are printed on recycled paper. They come with envelopes too, and are blank inside so you can write your own message.
