John — just one day remains before voting ends in the most consequential gubernatorial race of 2024. Either Mark Robinson (R) or Josh Stein (D) will be the next Governor of North Carolina. While many North Carolinians have already cast their ballots, we know some folks still need to make their voices heard. We are conducting a *FINAL UNOFFICIAL STRAW POLL* to see where things stand before Election Day: Which candidate would earn your support if you were voting in the NC Governor’s race right now?
Give us a second to remind you of just where the candidates stand. Mark Robinson is a fringe conspiracy theorist who has called himself a “black Nazi,” denigrated women, stoked hatred against LGBTQ+ folks, pledged to ban abortion without exception, and demonized our public school educators. Josh Stein is a longtime public servant with a record of fighting for our rights and freedoms, protecting consumers, and delivering for people. He’ll fight to protect reproductive freedom, secure access to the ballot box, and fund our public schools.
