Join us Wednesday, November 6 at the next Government Affairs and Economic Development Committee where we will discuss commercial real estate assessments, the trends of assessments in recent years, and the impact on County finances.


We will first welcome Derek Dubbé, Director of Real Estate Assessments for Arlington County. Derek will discuss trends in commercial real estate assessments and its financial effect on Arlington, and take member questions. Next, Greg Hoffman, one of the four appointees recommended by the Arlington Chamber to serve on the Arlington County Board of Equalization for Real Estate Assessments, will provide an overview of the Board of Equalization and its duties. Greg and Barnes Lawson, another Board member recommended by the Chamber, will take questions.
