Greetings Friend,

The COVID-19 pandemic is hitting and affecting Nevada in many ways but we
rarely hear about how rural Nevada is being impacted by the crisis.

This Thursday, May 14th at 6:00 PM, tune in to the [ [link removed] ]Battle Born Progress
Facebook page as we chat with Mayor of West Wendover, Daniel Corona to
find out about what the experience in rural Nevada is like and what
resources they need.

To recap our previous installments, we talked extensively with [ [link removed] ]State
Treasurer Zach Conine about relief for homeowners, student loan borrowers,
and rental assistance. Then, we chatted with [ [link removed] ]Lieutenant Governor Kate
Marshall about the 2020 Census ([ [link removed] ]DO IT!) and how Nevada’s tourism
economy is dealing with the crisis.  Recently, we chatted with
[ [link removed] ]Congressman Steven Horsford about various funding measures from the
U.S. Congress, we talked about state issues with [ [link removed] ]Nevada Senate Majority
Leader, Nicole Cannizzaro, and most recently we got to chat with [ [link removed] ]U.S.
Senator Catherine Cortez Mast and [ [link removed] ]Assemblywoman Maggie Carlton!

Finally, check out our resource guide (in [ [link removed] ]English or [ [link removed] ]Spanish) if
you or a loved one need assistance during this time.

See you on FB Live!

Maria-Teresa Liebermann

Deputy Director
