Two months ago this week, the World Health Organization officially declared COVID-19 a global pandemic. And since then, it feels like everything that could have gone wrong, has. We have more coronavirus cases and deaths than any other country in the world, and both numbers continue to rise. We have doctors and nurses running to the front lines without the protection they need to keep themselves -- and us -- safe. And we have a president who has chosen to tell Americans to drink bleach to protect themselves, rather than do his own job to protect them. The White House has failed us in their coronavirus response, as have Mitch McConnell and Dan Sullivan, who have sat back and watched instead of advocating for the people they have sworn to serve -- the people whose lives are in their hands. Right now, we need a leader who not only understands the magnitude of this public health crisis, but is also willing to put people above party and advocate for solutions that will protect us.
