My name is Mar, I’m on Dr. Stein’s social media team, and I created that video in September because I was TIRED of hearing about “the lesser of two evils”.

I reject both evils – I’m voting for Dr. Stein, the only anti-genocide candidate with a path to the White House. The candidate who stopped me in my tracks when she locked arms with student protesters as police pressed her down with a bicycle.

If you’re rejecting evil too, please contribute to the Stein/Ware campaign as they fight for us in this final push.

As I’ve fought the genocide of Palestinians this year, I’ve stopped trusting people, organizations, and institutions that refused to stand up and fight Israel’s brutal regime. 

But Dr. Stein is different. I’m proud to support her as a human rights activist, veterinarian, feminist, and Muslim American woman of color.

I’ve always been passionate about fighting for human rights, marginalized communities, animal wellbeing, and our planet’s health. Dr. Stein’s platforms on justice, the environment, student debt, Black liberation, and 2SLGBTQIA+ rights make me honored to stand with her.

I recently reposted that video as part of my final push to support Dr. Stein. To my surprise, it was censored by Meta.

You read that right. My funny video comparing Dr. Stein to a healthy green smoothie was flagged and censored by Meta.

Their reasoning? It contains “graphic violence”. (No it doesn’t.)

This type of blatant censorship just makes me prouder and more determined to stand for my beliefs by voting for Dr. Stein. It shows that we’re up against powers that will stoop to any level to undermine our message.

It shows our movement is powerful – we’re a threat to corporate greed, colonialism, the military industrial complex, big pharma, AIPAC, and much more. They have seemingly limitless resources and control so much of what we’re exposed to, and my smoothie video is just one example.

We may not have the billions of dollars they have, but we have one thing they don’t: 

Something worth fighting for.
