Our state and local governments need emergency federal funding NOW to cope with the economic fallout from the coronavirus, and keep first responders, health and safety workers, teachers, and librarians here in Dayton from losing their jobs.

It's serious -- these are real people whose livelihoods are at risk.

That's why Sherrod and I take serious issue with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell saying states should go bankrupt instead of receiving critical funding.

Congress allocated $150 billion for state and local governments in its coronavirus relief package, but because the Trump Administration is restricting that funding to cities and towns with populations of 500,000 or more, smaller cities like Dayton are getting left behind.

Will you join me, Sherrod, and other grassroots activists in demanding that McConnell and the Trump Administration include relief for our state and local governments in the next coronavirus legislation?

Tens of thousands of Dayton workers have filed for unemployment. This crisis will only become more painful for hardworking families if Congress doesn't do something about it.

In Dayton, we've been through so much and we've gotten through it together. That's what we're going to do now, too, but we need McConnell and leaders in Washington to do their part and that means we all need to speak out and take action.
