We all want to get back to work, and it's crucial that we do so safely and systemically. But I've talked with business leaders, and it's obvious that right now, there isn't enough clear, reliable information on how to get our economy going while continuing to fight the virus.

The Essential Worker Protection Act will offer transparent, coordinated safety guidelines for workplaces and workers. Business leaders want to make informed decisions, and this bill will give them the resources to do so.

Everyday, our frontline workers show up to jobs that could expose them to this deadly virus. Providing potentially lifesaving information is the least we can do for them. This is especially true here in Michigan, where we're suffering through one of the worst COVID-19 fatality rates in the country along with the highest unemployment rate in the nation.
