“I’ve been inside the office as either an intern or a prosecutor for 13 years. I saw the failures of the office, quite frankly.

I saw that it was not only failing the victims and their families, but it was failing law enforcement. It was failing the defendants. It was failing the community as a whole, through mismanagement, through hemorrhaging of good career prosecutors and I thought, and know, that I can do it better.”

I’m running for District Attorney because I believe in a fairer, more just system for everyone in Harris County. I want to reduce case backlogs, end cash bail, and tackle the systemic issues that have held us back for far too long. Every day, I see the impact of domestic violence, and last year alone, those heartbreaking incidents accounted for 18% of all homicides in Houston. We can do better. We have to do better.
