Dear Neighbor,
Voting is one of the most important rights our Constitution grants and this year voters face one of the most important decisions in modern history. In recent years, we've seen the consequences of fraud and apathy in our elections in some communities across the country. Election integrity is essential. Don’t forget to make your voice heard by casting your vote this Tuesday, November 5th. If you have any questions about where or how to do that, visit your local Supervisor of Election’s website at one of the links below:

Please continue reading for a quick recap of my efforts on your behalf last week.
Demanding Accountability: ICE recently shared a chilling report outlining the number of criminal illegal aliens that are roaming our country. Americans deserve accountability for the criminals the Biden-Harris administration has allowed into our communities. They also deserve to have the rule of law enforced and our border secured. I will keep pushing for these common sense measures.
Fighting for Middle Class Tax Breaks: The average taxpayer will see a 26% tax hike of about $1,189 annually if the Trump Tax Cuts expire on December 31, 2025. I’ll continue fighting to prevent that from happening.
Advocating for our Nation’s Heroes: I’m honored to help bring enhanced services to Veterans in Citrus County and will continue fighting for all of our nation’s heroes until they receive the care and benefits they have earned. Click here to learn more.
Additionally, we still have a few slots left for our annual Stars, Stripes and Smiles event. If you are a Veteran in need of dental care, please contact my office at 727-232-2921.
Helping Hurricane and Flooding Victims: Each county in FL12 now has a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC). You do not have to live in the county where the DRC is located. If you need help, you can go to the nearest location to you. You can also always call my office for help 727-232-2921.
Also, please remember that if your FEMA application was not approved, you have 60 days to appeal the decision.
Additionally, here is a list of resources available to those who are recovering. You can also contact my office at 727-232-2921 for assistance.
In recent weeks, we’ve all seen how crucial our first responders are in keeping our community safe during emergencies. However, they work tirelessly every day, in the face of danger, to maintain order, ensure the rule of law and respond to those in crisis. Last week on First Responders Day, I had the chance to stop by and thank some of those heroes who sacrifice daily to serve our community!
I was also honored to give a keynote address at the Parkinson’s Symposium attended by many constituents who are suffering from this terrible disease. I shared information about my bill which created the National Plan to End Parkinson’s and was recently signed into law. We must remain steadfast in our resolve to work together in order to find a cure!
Community Connection
I am fortunate to have a team of dedicated staff who regularly attend events throughout our community, especially when I am required to be in Washington, DC. Through their collective efforts, I am better able to stay connected to the issues that matter most to my constituents. As part of my commitment to developing a better understanding of the issues facing constituents in Citrus, Hernando and Pasco counties, members of my team attended several events last week. Here are a few highlights.
My team attended the opening of Pasco-Hernando State College's new Construction Trades Academy at Gower's Corner. This program is helping to equip our local workforce with the skills employers are seeking.
My team also attended the Habitat for Humanity groundbreaking in Citrus Springs. The site will be the future home for a family in need. Habitat for Humanity does such a wonderful job helping to meet the critical need of affordable housing throughout our community.
Additionally, my team attended the Kiwanis Boots and Pearls event in Brooksville, the proceeds of which support local children's charities.
Constituent Corner
My team recently received this note after helping resolve a disability issue.
I wanted to reach out and thank you both as well as Congressman Bilirakis. My wife has received her disability approval information, and I do not think this would have been accomplished without your help. We are very fortunate to have such an invested and caring Congressman and Team in our area. As a parent and husband who tries to navigate life with two loving and caring people that are challenged with physical and mental issues, it brings me some relief knowing that we have at least one amazing Congressman and supporting team that is always available to the people. Thank you again for all your service and dedication to the citizens and hope many more years that Congressman Bilirakis is in office looking out for our interests.
This is just one example of the work we do each day. Constituent services are a critical element of our congressional office. The federal government is a massive operation, and my office is available if you ever need assistance in navigating the bureaucracy or cutting through red tape. We are here to serve you! |
