Mitch McConnell called the Senate back into session, putting people at risk, just so he can confirm more of Trump’s judicial nominees.
Friend,
Majority Leader Mitch McConnell reconvened the U.S. Senate last week -- but it wasn’t so we could get back to work passing legislation to help families struggling amidst the pandemic.
He did it so the Senate could confirm more of Trump’s judicial nominees -- including one of his own former interns, Justin Walker.
McConnell needs to get his priorities in order. American families are struggling right now. That should come first. If you agree:
To make matters even worse, Judge Walker is simply unqualified for the job. He barely has any experience and even opposes the Affordable Care Act. To put it another way: We’re in the middle of a global pandemic considering the nomination of someone who would dismantle a healthcare coverage system that is saving lives!
McConnell should not be putting people like Judge Walker on the bench under any circumstance, and especially not right now. If you agree, sign my petition.
Stay safe,
Tammy Duckworth
