John,
Ok, many folks are (rightly) asking–why are you still fundraising so close to the election? So, I’ll tell you–
- My opponent and national Republicans are still fundraising at a RAPID clip. They’re not giving up, and neither am I.
- With the outsized influence of digital advertising, funding this kind of outreach is more fluid and flexible than ever before. Connecting with voters online, even on 11/5, is going to be critical.
- We project our spending based on what we will raise THROUGH Election Day, which means we HAVE to keep fundraising through Election Day.
- Continuing to fundraise sends a STRONG message to our opponents that we’re not letting off the gas for a single second.
- We broke records on the first day of early voting last weekend, with as many as 145,000 Michiganders turning out to vote! We have to KEEP that energy sustained, which means sustained outreach, which costs money.
Now, it’s up to us to keep the momentum going.
Let’s remember: in 2016, Michigan went red by nearly 10,000 votes. Just 10,000 people decided the direction of our state and presidency.
With the stakes as high as they are and polls showing this very race within the margin of error, we need to make sure we’re talking to as many voters as possible.
Turning out the vote in record numbers is only possible with strong momentum on the ground. Can we count on your support with a $10 contribution to our get-out-the-vote fund right now?

Thanks for your support!
Hillary
