Hey -- National Republicans have refocused their strategy. They think that if they can recruit hyper-partisan conservatives to run for swing seats like IA-01, they’ll win back control of the House in 2020.
This is all part of their latest recruiting coup.
And unfortunately, Democrats are calling this seat one of the “most vulnerable” at risk of flipping next November. We know IA-01 will be a tough race -- especially in a presidential year, when Trump and the GOP will invest millions into districts just like ours.
Trump won IA-01 by 4 percentage points in 2016 -- and in 2018, Abby flipped this seat by only 4.9 points. It's going to take all of us to make sure the heartland stays blue.
We desperately need to keep leaders like Abby in Congress. She's fighting every single day to ensure Iowans are heard loud and clear in Washington -- and truly, she couldn't be doing this work without you.
