Dear John,

I want to share a few words as we go into the final weekend before Election Day.

Firstly, thank you. Thank you for being a part of our people-powered movement here in California. Thank you for your generous contributions, your volunteering hours, or even just taking the time to read our emails and stay up-to-date on current events.

It has been the honor of my life to serve as Executive Director of the California Democratic Party. And we’ve accomplished so much.

We wanted to stop just rushing organizing programs together before an election, and instead establish a Forever Organizing Program that would start mobilizing communities months and years ahead of Election Day.

We wanted to open regional offices sooner than ever, so that volunteers could have a place to do the work of reaching undecided voters.

We wanted to hire more organizing staff and expand our Voter Protection Hotline in an effort to reach as many eligible voters as possible with information on how to vote.

We wanted to do all these things. And we did. Not because of dark money. Because of you.

Now, we are moving into the final days (and hours!) of the election. And we are still going full-throttle, pushing our teams to leave it all on the field.
