The New York Times: In Heated House Race, a Moderate Republican Goes Full Trump. “Representative Marc Molinaro of New York, running against Josh Riley, a Democrat, has accused recent immigrants of committing violent crimes and killing pets.”

The headline says it all: while Marc Molinaro says he’s a moderate, it couldn’t be more clear how extreme he really is.

🚩 Molinaro says he wants to secure the border, but all he’s done is spread racist conspiracy theories about immigrants.

🚩 Molinaro said he wouldn’t restrict abortion rights in Congress. But since then, he’s voted against abortion rights 13 times.

🚩 Molinaro voted twice to make Jim Jordan Speaker of the House and then played a key role in electing far-right extremist Mike Johnson.

🚩 Molinaro even endorsed Donald Trump, even after Trump was convicted on 34 felony counts, proposed devastating cuts to Social Security and Medicare, and was responsible for overturning Roe v. Wade.
