Dear John,

May is Mental Health Month -- a time for us all to reflect on the importance of mental health and the valuable resources that protect the health and well-being of our neighbors and loved ones.

Right now, as we collectively face the effects of COVID-19, mental health is more important than ever. With stay-at-home orders and social distancing practices in place, feelings of hopelessness, anxiety, and depression have become widespread.

These feelings bring with them an elevated risk of suicide -- especially when there are guns in the home. At the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence (CSGV), we know that guns in the home endanger the individuals living in the home! Guns in the home do not make us safer, especially during times of crisis.

By making a gift during Mental Health Month, you can help us continue to fight for policies that prevent firearm suicide -- and other forms of gun violence! Please make a donation now and stand with us in our fight to make gun violence rare and abnormal.

Thank you and stay safe,
