John, there are just three days left until Election Day. The noise, the predictions, the anxiety, and the attacks have reached a fever pitch. Everyone's got an opinion on this election.
So we're here to remind you that the stakes of these races, while high, are actually very simple. The reality is that since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, one in three women of reproductive age now lives in a state with an abortion ban.
If Democratic pro-choice women win on Nov. 5, we can start repairing the damage done by Republicans over the past two and a half years. If anti-choice Republicans win, they'll finish the job they started, and two and a half years from now, abortion will likely be banned nationwide. The most draconian bans — like the ones currently in place in Texas and Georgia, which have forced women to flee their states for lifesaving care — could be the law of the land. And then they'll come for IVF. And contraception.
This election is about freedom. We're fighting for the right to make decisions about our own bodies and futures. And every election since Roe fell has shown that if we stay clear-eyed about those stakes, we will win. Abortion. Wins. Elections.
