Hello, Friends —
This week following President Trump’s warning to illegal aliens that if they vote illegally, they are going to be jailed, I led six Republican colleagues in introducing the “Judicial Action to Impose Liability for Alien Voters Act,” also known as the JAIL for Alien Voters Act. If enacted, my legislation would make voting by an illegal alien a felony, punishable by up to five years in prison or a $10,000 fine. This would bring the criminal punishment for illegal aliens voting in federal elections in line with the penalty for U.S. citizens unlawfully voting.
Last month, in response to the Biden-Harris Department of Justice (DOJ) suing the Commonwealth of Virginia for removing illegal aliens from its voter rolls, I introduced the “National Motor Voter Clarification Act,” which would ensure that states can remove illegal aliens from their voter rolls at any time. These two pieces of legislation would help to secure U.S. elections against voting by the tens of millions of illegal aliens who have entered illegally through the U.S.-Mexico border during the Biden-Harris administration.
President Trump is right: illegal aliens who vote in our elections should be in jail. It is unacceptable that illegal aliens currently get lighter sentences than U.S. citizens for defrauding our elections. It is simply common sense that U.S. citizens should be the only ones voting in U.S. elections.

REP. GAETZ ISSUES STATEMENT ON SUPREME COURT DECISION TO REMOVE ILLEGAL ALIENS FROM VOTER ROLLS
On Wednesday, the U.S. Supreme Court issued a stay of a U.S. District Court order that the Commonwealth of Virginia stop removing noncitizens from its state voter list. The Supreme Court’s decision to allow Virginia to continue to purge illegal aliens from its voter rolls is a huge victory for election integrity!
Congress should now pass my bill, the "National Motor Voter Clarification Act," to clarify in federal law that states are allowed to remove illegal aliens from their voter rolls at any time without fear of being targeted by a weaponized Justice Department.
REP. GAETZ INTRODUCES LEGISLATION TO END TAX-EXEMPT STATUS FOR NON-PROFITS ABETTING THE U.S. BORDER INVASION
In response to certain non-profits and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) enabling the Biden-Harris administration’s mass-migration policies, on Thursday, I introduced the “Helping Americans by Restricting Resources to Immigrant Services Act,” also known as the HARRIS Act. My legislation, if enacted, would end the tax-exempt status of non-governmental organizations (NGOs), non-profits, and other entities that are aiding and abetting the U.S. border invasion by dedicating a “substantial” portion of their resources to goods and services for illegal aliens. Non-profits and NGOs that focus primarily on providing assistance to those who have broken our federal immigration law should not be receiving tax breaks.
Earlier this month, I additionally introduced the “Blocking Assistance and Resources to Restrict Illegal Entry and Residency (BARRIER) Act” to cut federal funding to NGOs, non-profits, and other entities that help migrants illegally enter or reside in the U.S. Together, these two pieces of legislation would sever the public-private partnership that has supported the illegal crossing of our southern border by millions of people.

‘JAIL for Alien Voters Act’ would close loophole, crack down on illegal-immigrant voting, says Gaetz
“Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., is introducing a bill Tuesday that he says would plug a loophole in current federal law by making it a felony for illegal immigrants to vote in U.S. elections, aligning penalties with those for U.S. citizens unlawfully voting. Currently, the prohibited acts under federal law for U.S. elections do not state that voting as an illegal immigrant is a prohibited act. Gaetz’s legislation would add voting as a noncitizen as a prohibited act and increase the penalty from a misdemeanor to a felony with up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.”
