“The U.N.’s Verdict on Climate Progress Over the Past Year: There Was None”

John — global climate action has stalled.
The latest U.N. report shows that while fossil fuel pollution surged to a record high last year, our governments are on track to miss the goals set in the Paris Agreement by a wide margin — with warming predicted to reach 2.6–2.8°C by the century’s end.
Every fraction of a degree the planet warms means deadlier heat waves, more catastrophic wildfires, and a heartbreaking loss of biodiversity. We can’t let this future become our reality — and that’s why this election matters so much.
November 5th is our best shot to send a message that we won’t accept inaction from our leaders any longer. The U.S. has the power to set a global standard. If we step up, we inspire other nations to act, too. But if we fail, it becomes harder for any country to hit the targets needed to keep our planet livable.
Electing climate champions who we can actually urge to act could be the turning point. With just 3 days until Election Day, we need to know:
How urgent is it to you to elect climate leaders who are dedicated to following through on their climate promises? Select One:
Your response matters because, right now, your voice and your vote will ensure we keep our leaders accountable and elect climate champions who treat the climate crisis with the urgency it deserves.
Thanks for adding your voice,
