Many ask if Maricopa County is really that important. Let us assure you, we absolutely are! Our work isn't solely driven by our county candidates — it's rooted in a profound sense of responsibility to you and to our Democratic candidates up and down the entire ballot.
Maricopa County has 62% of Arizona’s registered voters. As goes Maricopa County, so goes Arizona, and very possibly the nation this year.
But there's more to it: 20 out of the 30 state legislative districts are in Maricopa County, along with 8 of Arizona’s 9 congressional districts in part or in whole. This means our efforts at the grassroots level directly impact crucial Democratic campaigns from the Legislature up to and including Ruben Gallego for U.S. Senate and Kamala Harris for President.
The success of all of these campaigns relies on our ability to drive Democratic voter turnout across this sprawling county of over 4.7 million people.
