But here’s the not-so-good news: Trump has a four-year head start on this election. He and the RNC have raised over half a billion dollars, and they’ve announced their plans to blanket the airwaves with attack after attack on Joe Biden.

That’s okay. We know that when we are transparent with you all about fundraising, this team always steps up and helps us reach our goals.

Which is why we’ve looked at our pacing for the month and determined that to stay on track for our ambitious May goals, we need to raise $2,500,000 online now through Friday.

We know there are a lot of places deserving of your money right now, but we’re asking all of Joe’s top supporters who are able to step up right now to help us meet this goal. Again, only if you are able, and your donation will help contribute for those who might not be able to right now.

This $2,500,000 isn’t an arbitrary number. We have to be able to fight back against Trump’s attacks and continue ramping up our campaign to launch a massive grassroots operation. Our May budget gets us there, and this new goal helps us ensure we don’t fall short.

Here’s how we’re putting your dollars to work to defeat Donald Trump.

• Scaling up this campaign: Even though our campaign is all virtual now, we are scaling up our operations to support a nationwide team to fight for every vote. We’ve got a lot of folks to hire, and we need to put them to work soon, especially to reach critical battleground state voters.
   
• Holding Trump accountable: Trump’s lies are more dangerous now than ever, and we have to be able to hold him accountable and set the record straight through paid advertising.
   
• Putting Joe’s message in front of more folks: We have a robust strategy to put Joe’s message of hope over fear in front of more people, including running paid digital and TV ads, and training a network of online grassroots leaders to spread the word.

So, you know how important it is for us to elect Joe Biden. You know that we have a $2.5 million online goal to hit by Friday at midnight. And you know that your dollars will go straight to work to help us defeat Donald Trump.
