Our campaign team has been busy reaching more than 30,000 voters in Michigan’s 12th district. Our reliably blue district is critical to Democratic victories up and down the ballot.
We’ve been on the doors, speaking with voters over the last 6 weeks to help ensure a massive Democratic turnout on Election Day. And this weekend is our final Get Out the Vote (GOTV) weekend!

After our August primary, we saw that over 19,000 Democrats didn’t return their absentee ballots, so we’ve been focusing on ensuring those Democrats cast their ballots in the general election. We’re also prioritizing reaching the 15,859 newly registered voters in our district.
In the 2020 election, our voter contact strategy increased voter turnout in our district by 3%. In what are expected to be close races up and down the ballot, Democrats running for office rely on our direct voter contact to get them across the finish line.

We know that direct voter contact is the best way to increase voter turnout. So we’re on the phone and the doors making sure that people have everything they need to vote on or before next Tuesday, November 5. We’re letting people know about Michigan’s new voter laws, which passed in 2022 and 2023 and have made way for early voting, rides to the polls, and more. When more people vote, we have a stronger voice at all levels of government.
