If this were a typical election year, we’d be prepping for volunteers knocking doors and talking to voters in swing states. But what we’re experiencing is far from normal.

COVID-19 has brought America to a halt, and with it almost all in-person voter mobilization efforts. While we can’t get on buses to swing states or go door-to-door right now, we can still get out the vote.

Vote From Home 2020 is mobilizing volunteers like you from across the country to help voters in swing states have access to vote by mail this November.

We don't know what November will look like -- but we can’t risk what happened in Wisconsin just last month happening again. Long lines at polling places with worried voters whose absentee ballots never arrived; while efforts to expand voting by mail before the election are short-circuited by Republican state legislators and conservatives on the Supreme Court. Holding an election in the middle of a pandemic is a recipe for voter disenfranchisement unless we do something about it and expand vote by mail opportunities as soon and as widely as possible.

Research shows that the likelihood of voter participation increases by up to 7% if voters are urged to vote by mail and reminding voters up to two times to return their ballot increases the probability of voting by 4%.

By directly sending absentee ballot applications with return postage to critical voters, and then following up on those applications with digital ads, volunteer phone calls and texts from folks like yourself across the country, we will expand the number of people voting and directly impact the 2020 election.

We all recognize that this is a time of extreme uncertainty. But we should never question the certainty and knowledge of the importance of this election.
