2023 Overdose Deaths Decrease Slightly

New reports of CDC provisional data showed U.S. overdose deaths decreased from April 2023 to April 2024. This is encouraging, but losing over 100,000 people in one year is unacceptable, and a higher rate than before COVID. We are still in an overdose crisis.

DPA Helps Mark Inaugural OPC National Solidarity Week

This year, DPA worked in partnership with a community of people and organizations from across the nation to lay the groundwork for Overdose Prevention Centers National Solidarity Week. In August, community partners held Solidarity Week events in 15 states, building #OPCSolidarity nationwide.
