Hey John,

With only six days until Oregon’s 2020 Primary Election this Tuesday, time is running out to make your voice heard! I know you're an environmental voter who cares about Oregon’s future, and I want to make sure you have everything you need going into the election. Do you have a plan for how, when, and where you’re going to vote? Let’s make one!

When and Where to Vote
  • Vote-by-Mail // Deadline: ASAP - it needs to arrive at your county elections office by 8pm on Tuesday, May 19th.
No stamp? No problem. Voting by mail is now completely free! What a great deal! So, after you’ve filled out your ballot and signed the back, just pop it in the mail. But make sure you do so as soon as possible: time is running out!

  • Vote by Ballot Drop Box // Deadline: Election Day, Tuesday, May 19th, by 8pm
Another easy way to vote is to drop your ballot off at an official dropsite. Find one near you here! You have until 8pm on Tuesday, May 19th, to submit your ballot. This is a great option if you don’t get a chance to mail your ballot back in time, or if, like me, you like to vote on Election Day.
How to Vote

So you have a plan for when and where to turn your ballot in. But have you decided who you’re voting for yet? There are a lot of inspiring candidates this year, and so many critical races that could be decided by just a few votes. OLCV’s endorsements are a trusted resource to help you vote for the candidates who share our environmental values. You can find a full list of OLCV’s Endorsements here, and/or keep an eye out for them in your Voters’ Pamphlet.

By voting for environmental champions, you’re helping shape Oregon’s future. What do you want our state to look like in two, ten, or twenty years? Who do you want to represent you and your community in Washington D.C., and Salem, and at your county commission and city hall? Who do you want to work on policies to make our forests more resilient, our rivers cleaner, our air safer, and our communities healthier? Now is your chance to decide by casting your vote!

If you have any questions about the voting process or our endorsements, don’t hesitate to send us an email! Together, we can make sure that we elect leaders who will put Oregon’s people and planet first, and put our communities far above big polluters.

Thank you for being an environmental voter! Now let’s get out the vote!

Staying in touch via the Oregon League of Conservation Voters’ email list is the best way we have of keeping in regular contact with supporters like you and letting you know about the ways you can take action to protect the environment. You can unsubscribe from our supporter list, but if you leave, it will be harder for you to stay involved with OLCV and continue the work that you’ve been such a critical part of. OLCV wins environmental policy fights and elections because of dedicated activists like you, and we’d hate to see you go.
