We got an alarming polling update today, John, and I wanted you to be the first to know:

Eric Hovde has officially taken the lead for the first time in public polling — a brand new poll from Trafalgar shows me down by one point, 49-48.

This moment has been building up for months. Hovde and his Republican allies launched a $80 million ad blitz to close the polling gap and buy this seat, and they've never been closer to succeeding.

I don't mean to be alarmist, John, but we're running out of time to fight back.

Republicans are outspending us on the airwaves, early voting is underway, and all signs show my self-funding megamillionaire opponent surging.
