"For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it." |
– Luke 9:24 |
South Asia |
Please pray for 13 victims and two children recently rescued from violence at a brick kiln in South Asia. These families were trafficked from their impoverished village and forced to work amid frequent beatings from the owner. Their case has sparked important public debate over the thousands of migrant workers who are forced into inhumane conditions. Pray that IJM and our government partners can help these survivors heal, and pray for ongoing media coverage of these abusive trends that will hopefully scale the demand for protection. |
Africa & Europe |
Pray for the 200 police commanders and journalists who came together this week in Kenya to have candid discussions about police violence and media coverage. The event was designed to address the distrust between police and media. Pray that trainings like this would help to reduce police violence toward media, and that the work of the media to cover cases of police violence would be accurate and encourage good policing practices. |
Latin America |
Praise God for the justice He has brought to a child who was abused by a family member for over five years. Last week, PROBOS, our partner in Bolivia, helped secure a 30-year sentence against the aggressor of this child. Please pray for her long-term emotional recovery. Also, pray for wisdom and resilience for the lawyers, social workers and psychologists who work with PROBOS. |
Asia Pacific |
Praise God for the continued expansion of the Assessment of Survivor Outcomes (ASO) tool across the Asia Pacific region. This tool, created by IJM, sets a new standard for survivor care, ensuring that those rescued from trafficking receive comprehensive and effective support. We ask for prayers for this tool’s implementation and acceptance in Thailand and throughout the region! |
IJM Global Office & Partners |
The IJM global office is located in the United States. IJM has Partner Offices in Australia, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, South Korea, Switzerland, Singapore, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. |
Please join us in lifting in prayer this year’s Dressember campaign. Each December, a dedicated community of advocates around the world dresses up to raise awareness and critical funding for IJM's work. Pray that new advocates would be inspired to join the campaign and that returning advocates would feel renewed passion as they continue advocating for justice. May their efforts bring hope, spark conversations and further the impact of this mission! |
